Update // Staying Warm

These weeks have seriously been flying by so fast. I can't believe that it is already the middle of January and the last time I posted was the end of December...sheesh. I wanted to give a little update on life recently and basically what has been going on :)

-Dallin and I are both back in school. Last semester! Woo!!

-I've challenged myself and I'm taking a yoga class. My first one! I love it so far.

-I got the Wii for Christmas...no not the U. The old one. Which I'm perfectly happy with and I love it so much. Mario Kart is a weakness for me. 

-I've been making a lot of healthy things recently. To list some; homemade almond milk, granola, black bean and sweet potato enchiladas, and yummy soups...etc! I'm addicted!

-We've been going to the gym and I'm starting a 12 week work out plan, along with some other friends.

-I'm watching The Bachelor for the first time. I've seen a few episodes here and there, but this time I'm joining the crowd and watching it from the beginning.

-I cut my hair! 5 inches :)

- Dallin's sister comes home from her mission in less than a month!

-We still have our Christmas tree up...oops.

It's been pretty cold everywhere it seems like so stay warm with Aeropostale!!

Merry Christmas Eve! I meant to blog earlier this week, but things have been busy with the family. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable week. It's so nice to be able to be with my family. I've been loving playing games with them, making delicious food, and really just spending time with everyone. In all honesty it doesn't really feel like Christmas. Maybe because I'm getting older?? Whatever it is, I don't like it!

I'm loving this coat from Oasap. I went with green which is perfect for the holidays. I would usually go with red, but surprisingly I REALLY love this coat and it fits really well.

Leather Jacket-Simple

So for those of you who do not know. I get to go home next week! It has been over a year since I have been home. It's sooo past due! I'm ready for the beach and warm weather. And of course spend time with my family! I'm already sad about leaving to come back here because I know the time is going to go by so fast :(

I like simple. Sometimes over doing outfits can be a bit much. This outfit is simple. Even though a leather jacket can make a statement, it did not take any effort at all to put on. I think every wardrobe should have that staple piece that you feel comfortable in and is simple and that makes your own kind of statement.

I feel like we are at that point where the weather can't make up it's mind. Snow one day, rain the next.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Wow. Can you believe it?! I blogged again. Life has been crazy lately, but relaxing at the same time. Can those words even go together?? Now it's crunch time. New Year resolutions, last semester of school, new jobs, and new beginnings. Have a good day!

I also want to wish my mom a happy birthday!! She is my best friend and such a great example to me. I really have no idea what I would do without her! She is the most beautiful person, inside and out. I hope she has a wonderful day. Wish I could be with you mom!

So this past week I told a little break from my blog. Not going to lie it was so nice. I wanted to focus on Christmas and being with my family. I hope everyone had a fabulous week. I sure did. Lots of laughs, fun games, and tons of food. I really don't think I've eaten that much food before. But it was all so great. We went up to Rexburg to be with Dallin's family. It was definitely a full house, but we loved being around lots of family.

Comfy Winter Sweater

 I can't believe how far we are into December! I also can't believe how cold it has been! Hot chocolate 24/7. Life has definitely been crazy for us lately. The semester coming to an end. MCAT studying has started, which means the MCAT will be here before we know it! Who wants to hang out with me this Spring???

I have a hard time dressing for the cold. I'll wear a few layers, add a scarf, and call it good. Then when I step outside I'm an icicle. Or I will bundle up, again layers, and a huge Winter coat. I'm roasting! Sure I'll be fine right when I walk out the door, but if you're going in and out of places it starts to heat up underneath. I need to find a good medium. I need a coat for running errands! But then I received this sweater from Choies and now my Winter shopping outfits will be changed forever!!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Snow is on the forecast for this week in Utah :( Bleh. I'm no snow driver either. It has held off for awhile, so it's bound to come at some point. But still! I'm a beach girl, the snow is not for me! Anyways, enough of that. This outfit is for the chillier days to come :)
