Memorial Day Shenanigans

Hello all! I hope everyone had a great weekend and a good Memorial Day. I'm very grateful for the past veterans who have served and put their time towards this country's freedom. I also have such a strong gratitude for those who are serving now. It was nice being able to spend time with my family on Memorial Day because family is what it's all about :)

NC vs UT

I would like to point out that it is FREEZING in Utah, just in case no one else noticed. I miss being home every single day. Especially because of this weather. I don't handle the cold very well. I want to cry every time I get in the car and the steering wheel numbs my hands! Now...don't get me wrong, Utah is gorgeous, but it's not the beach. This past weekend back home it was in the 70's! The 70's! Like is Wilmington trying to frustrate me? My friends were laying out at the beach while I was trudging through the snow in this ice cold tundra. Alright, not really..just watching my balance as I "trudged" across our non-plowed parking lot. Oh the life of living at the beach.

But hey who doesn't like wearing cute hats?!

NC HERE I COME!!

Today is the day I have been waiting for! I get to go home for the holidays! I'm so ready to be back. To feel the humidity. To feel the warm air. To smell the salty ocean. It is going to be great! I feel so blessed to have a loving family during this time. And I pray that those affected in Newton, CT will be comforted in this time of need.

Monday is over! Just 5 more days until I get to go home! I think I can make it through this week. Ready to step out of the plane into the salty, refreshing air of North Carolina. So close!!! But until then,

This is the tree I decorated at work. It definitely deserves a honorable mention.Well..really anything that has to do with Christmas deserves one!

My mom sent me this nativity set. It is so quirky and cute! My very first nativity scene :)

Mint hot chocolate is my weakness. I also use Christmas mugs all year long. Any time I can find a cheap one I buy it. Actually, if it's cute enough I'll bring it home with me

New Blog Design

Finally! It's done! The stress has gone away! Re-designing a blog can be quite the challenge. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Now lets just talk about how excited I am to go home in just about a week! Back to the warm, salty air. I'm going to hide when it's time to come back to reality.
