Neon

I'm obsessed with these new pants! I've been looking for some high waisted pants and Windsor had the perfect pair! Now neon...makes me so happy. With bright colors, it gets me so excited for Summer and it just seems to make people glow! Cheesy? I'm in the process of trying to find some neon heels. Seen any lately?? Let me know! Neon is just fun!

Table Centerpiece

I'm the kind of person that always has to have something on the table. A picture frame, flowers, or a vase; anything really. I'm in that stage right now where I have no idea what to do as my centerpiece. Now when you look at this picture, you may wonder why I just don't use the flowers. Usually I'm more for a taller look to put some height to the table. 

Now this is my easy, go-to, in between stages of my table centerpieces.

It's simple, cute, and easy. It also makes a nice area for letters and papers because if I don't keep them in a stack they just end up all over the kitchen table. I found this tray at Target for $5.00! Which makes this even more perfect! It's so easy and it seems to be working out just fine as my table centerpiece.

Freebie on a Friday

I seem to be addicted to making backgrounds for my phone. I'm always changing mine! I'm missing the beach so much. Especially since it's going into Summer and EVERYONE back home is posting pictures of themselves at the beach! Sense a little jealousy here?? Very much so. 

Can I just go back home?? Back to where the ocean is my backyard??

Favorite Beauty Products

Do you ever go through phases of your favorite beauty products? I'm in a new phase now. Usually when I have a favorite eye-shadow, I use it EVERYDAY! I'll try to change up how I use it, but I'm so in love that I will use it ALL of the time. Saying that, here are some of my favorite products...as of right now.

#1-ORIGINS GinZing

-I'm always on the look out for a good moisturizer. One that doesn't have my skin feeling oily, sticky, or even dirty. This is has been a great Sephora find! I put it on in the AM and PM. My skin feels so soft and it goes on really light. It doesn't have that thick feeling that a lotion can give. It even smells so good! 

Like Summer is being put on my face!

#2-Tone Body Wash-Ocean Therapy

-Anything that has to do with the ocean; I'm all over it. I was in Wal-mart when I saw this and thought I would give it a try. LOVE the smell of it. To me it doesn't necessarily smell like "ocean", but it definitely has a relaxing smell to it.

#3-MAC'S Expensive Pink Eye-Shadow

-This was a hard transition. I used their Espresso color pretty much everyday. Then I found this one. It's a darker pink and when it's on it seems to make my skin tone look richer or darker? It's good with pops or coral in an outfit as well!

#4-Indian Healing Clay

-This stuff is awesome! I love it! Want to know more about this face mask you can read my post about it HERE! My face has never felt softer than when using this.

#5-L'Oreal Mascara

-I've loved this mascara for a long time. If I end up splurging and buying a pricey mascara, I always end up coming back to this one. It does exactly what it says and double extends. It always lengthens my eyelashes. This mascara is always a must for me.

MAXI LOVE

I'm so in love with maxi skirts right now!

1. They are so comfortable!

2. They come in every color!

3. You can wear them with basically anything!

Really though, start the day off pretty casual, dress it up in the evening, then put a t-shirt on for relaxation at night. I'm on the lookout for a pink one and hopefully a light yellow! 

Pink Lemonade

Summer is coming and sometimes that ice cold drink is a must on a hot day. This recipe is Paula Deen's regular lemonade and I just make it pink!

-2 cups of sugar

-2 cups lemon juice (12ish lemons)

-1 cup hot water

-1 gallon cold water

-cranberry juice or grenadine 

1. In a one gallon container, place sugar and hot water, and stir until sugar dissolves.  

2.Add lemon juice and water for remaining one gallon. 

3. Stir well until well mixed.  

4. Stir in 1 cup of cranberry juice or 1tbsn-2tbsn of grenadine (depends

on how strong you want it)

Yum!

Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sometimes it is so hard to find that perfect chocolate chip cookie! But no fear! I have found the SECRET recipe. This is actually Dallin's mom's recipe and it is just delicious! The perfect crisp edges, with a soft center. I promise these will not disappoint!

Ingredients

-3 1/3 cups flour

-1 cup butter

-2 eggs

-1/2 cup sugar

-1 cup brown sugar

-1 tsp. vanilla

-1 tsp. baking soda

-1/2 tsp. salt

-2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

1. Soften butter and mix in sugar.

2. Add eggs and vanilla, then beat.

3. Add dry ingredients and mix.

4. Stir in chocolate chips

5. Roll out and cook at 375 for 10 mins!

Tulips

Wow. What a week. I haven't even been on the computer, which in some ways can be very relaxing, but in others I feel like I'm not myself at the moment. Make sense? 

This past week I had my birthday. This past week I had food poisoning. Ouch. Talk about the first time in my life where the sight of birthday cake made me nauseous. My dad was here from NC as well. That was a definite plus. So even though it did not feel like my birthday, the two men in my life 

did awesome at taking care of me. 

After we dropped my dad off at the airport, we briefly stopped at the tulip festival going on at Thanksgiving Point for one more week! Such beautiful flowers!

Well today is my last day of being 22. It has been great year for sure. Met new friends. Got a husband. Moved to the mountains (temporarily). New job.

Goodbye 22...you were fun :)

Bloggers Night Out

Happy Monday! This past weekend Fashion Place Mall in Murray, Utah held their Spring fashion show. Fashion bloggers from Utah all united to share what we all enjoy..FASHION! It was so nice to put faces to bloggers. Met so many girls that are just so sweet and talented! I had a blast. I went for the "hippie", "boho" look :)

Anchors Away

What a beautiful weekend it has been so far. Friday was a bloggers night out at Fashion Place Mall! (Post coming soon) Saturday we went to the first session of general conference, which is basically a meeting where the leaders of the LDS church give amazing talks. Afterwards we went to City Creek and enjoyed The Cheesecake Factory and a little shopping. We ran into so many familiar faces in temple square.

I have a special love for anchors. Mostly because I'm from the beach and started fishing when I was 10 years old. Even though I'm miles and miles away from the ocean now; I can still have my go-to beach outfit!

Dreamer

Do you ever wish you could just live a new life? Maybe for a day or a week? I do. I still want to be me, but with a little twist!

Right now I want to be a professional taste tester. If that's what you want to call it. I want to travel all over the world going to restaurants of all sorts and trying their food! Let them know if I think it's good or bad and I want all of those restaurants to actually go out of their way to impress me and that my opinion is meaningful!

Haha I can dream right? Sometimes you need to really try and live your dreams. Hey why can't I make a name for myself and get known in the "restaurant critic" world?! Something to think about I guess.

Summer Wreath

I ALWAYS have something hanging on the front of my door. To me it feels more like home. I've been waiting to hang this up! Had to wait for Easter to pass :)

It was super easy to make and I love how it has the Summer feel to it.

A New Look

Yes, it's a pretty cliche April Fool's joke, but

I've never really been good at the whole April fools day "holiday". I'm more of the..."THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOU!" Kind of lame, but hey sometimes it works.

I hope everyone had a great Easter. I know I did. Good grief...so much eating. Especially candy. It was nice to travel a little ways to go see some family. I also held a little chicken that they have! Well there were four of those chicks running around!

So some of you may have noticed that I changed my blog around. Went from 3 columns to 2, changed the colors, and cleaned it up a bit. I actually decided to change my design when I was working on someone else's blog. I always get excited when I change my look. Check out Nancy's blog! Like she said, I gave my blog a "face lift".
